Are you a barbershop owner or manager looking to learn more about the Mister B study?
The Men's Health Initiative at NYU works with barbershops in all 5 boroughs of New York City to host recruitment events for the Mister B study. The team is also able to provide free blood pressure screening for all.
The purpose of the Mister B study is to test two counseling programs for Black men 50 and over, one to encourage men to lower their blood pressure through lifestyle changes and the other to encourage men to get screened for colorectal cancer. High blood pressure and colorectal cancer are two of the major killers of Black men. To be eligible, men must self- identify as Black, have high blood pressure, and not have been tested for colorectal cancer in the past 10 years.
Would your customers benefit from participating in the Mister B study?
